| Deposit:
To hold the date and time you requested for your shoot, please
send a deposit of $200, payable to Invizion Photography. The
deposit will apply to your shoot, but will not be refunded
if you cancel or postpone less than 48 hours prior to your
shoot.
Selecting Studio or Outdoor Shooting Location:
If you are doing a studio shoot, choose white or
black backdrops (view portfolio photos) and select your favorite
backdrop; call or email Amber with your choice at least 24
hours before your shoot. If you'd prefer an outdoor or alternate
indoor LOCATION for your shoot, make sure you've scouted,
discussed, and cleared the location with Amber a week before
the shoot.
Clothing:
Bring clothes that are consistent with the image
you want and the style you want to reflect in your home. Bring
as many changes as you like. You might want to mix a casual
set with a dressier version. Simple, plain garments with no
logos (especially for children's clothing) are best.
When doing color, think about the colors and how they match
your home. Groups wearing varied outfits should be conscious
of combining colors that work well together.
Hair, Makeup and Manicures:
Unless you ask us to arrange for a professional makeup artist
to join us at the shoot (minimum recommended advance notice:
two weeks; additional cost $50-$150 per person), there is
no makeup artist here. We do keep on hand basic equipment
-- powders, mascara, lip gloss, blush, hairspray, etc. --
and can assist you in light touchup and fine-tuning. We suggest
that if you wear makeup, you bring your normal DAYTIME TYPE.
Same principle applies to hair keep it natural, normal.
Please Moms- NO ROOTS! Please make sure to get your hair
colored before your shoot. Try not to get a haircut too close
to the shoot unless you totally trust your hairdresser not
to take too much off.
Amber LOVES hands and if that's the style you are going for,
upclose and personal - please make sure your nails are in
good shape.
Reference Photos & Idea Sketches:
Bring in photos from a magazine, website, or newspaper
that you love or hate, and be able to explain what's good
or bad about each. Knowing in advance you have certain features
you want to boldly display or slyly hide is very useful. Bring
in any photos of other people you especially like. We can
use them for reference and build on their ideas.
Props & Favorite Toys/Teddys:
Bring along any that you might want included in the
photo: security blankets, momentos, teddy bears etc. This
can be a themed item from your home that you'd like to use
as a prop. Additionally, please bring any favorite toys that
may help in keeping baby's attention.
Extra Diapers
Please bring along several extra diapers. Please bring plain
white diapers (no designs or colors) if at all possible.
Friends:
Bring a pal! The more the merrier. We have a play
room set up for children but a nanny or friend can be useful
too!
Food:
For schoochers and toddlers - bring along munchies or drinks.
When bringing snacks for kiddos, please make sure it is not
crumbly or messy/sticky food. Great ideas include Cheerio's
and Goldfish.Whatever makes you and your child feel at home
and at ease.
